Itinerary for each day

Move to Murchison Falls National Park on Day 1. Visit the top of the falls and take a Nile launch cruise in the afternoon.

After breakfast, your tour guide will pick you up from Kampala (or Entebbe) and drive you to Murchison Falls National Park (311Km from Kampala and approximately 5 hours). You will travel through the prominent landscapes of Nakasongola, crossing the Kafu River and passing by the verdant Budongo Forest before arriving at the top of the falls. As it sinks 43m below the Devil’s Cauldron, the world’s longest Nile River squeezes itself through an 8m ravine, creating a plume of spray marked by a thunderous roar and a trademark rainbow. The location provides an exceptional photographic environment. You leave the operation and go to Paraa Jetty to catch the Nile launch cruise to the bottom of the falls, which departs at 2 p.m. The Nile launch cruise allows you to experience the calm waters of the Nile River as it approaches the delta, gaining views of aquatic species such as Nile crocodiles and hippos, as well as the highly sought-after shoebill stork. The boat comes to a stop at the base of Murchison Falls, the world’s most powerful waterfall, in one of Uganda’s most beautiful settings. Retire from the operation and make your way to the lodge for some rest, dinner, and sleep.
