ITINERARY FOR EACH DAY

Day 1: Pick up and move to Murchison, with a stop in Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino monitoring.
Your safari begins at Entebbe Airport, where your guide/driver will meet you and drive you to Murchison Falls National Park. The roaring rapids of the Murchison, the rolling plains of Uganda’s largest National Park, where you can see lions, giraffes, hartebeest, buffalo, and elephants, are among the highlights of this park. The concentration of hippos and Nile crocodiles here would undoubtedly captivate you. Murchison Falls is home to 450 bird species, including the elusive shoebill stork, dwarf kingfisher, white-thigh hornbill, and Goliath heron.
Make a detour en route to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for your first Big 5 encounter, which includes an hour of rhino tracking. Another stop will be made in Masindi to enjoy your lunch. Continue to the park and check into your lodging for the evening.

Return to your lodging for lunch before embarking on a three-hour boat ride to the base of the falls. This trip is said to be the highlight of the Murchison Falls safari because it helps you to get up close and personal with the animal species that live in the river. On the way to the mighty waterfalls, cruise past massive hippo pods, crocodiles, and various aquatic birds adorning the north bank. You will have the ability to take thousands of photographs, so bring your camera if you wish.
Even, if you like, take a walk to the top of the waterfall. The hiking is strenuous, but the rush of reaching the summit is unforgettable. Miss it only if you have to! You’ll return to your lodging for dinner and an overnight stay.

While you’re here, you’ll understand what it’s like to be in the African jungle. You will also have the opportunity to learn about the Karamojong Nomadic Pastoralists of Uganda in Kidepo Valley.
You will eat breakfast at your lodging before departing for Kidepo. This will be a long drive, but you will be rewarded with some beautiful scenery along the way, making it seem even shorter. You will arrive and do nothing but check into your hotel, relax, and enjoy your dinner and overnight rest.

Day 4: Game drive and group visit in Kidepo.
After breakfast, depart for Kidepo Valley National Park. You can go game viewing in the Narus Valley in the park’s south. This is the part of Kidepo where savannah grasslands meet acacia woodland. It is also the region of the park with year-round permanent water sources, and the majority of the park’s animals can be found here. Many animals congregate around water bodies in the hot afternoons. Expect to see large herds of buffalo, zebras, and various antelope species, as well as lions. You will return to your lodging for lunch and a short rest.
Later, participate in an optional group visit where you will have the opportunity to connect with the Karamojong, the local people. You will spend a wonderful afternoon/evening with the Karamojong people, learning about their culture and beliefs. The popular sand bed of River Kidepo, a seasonal river that does not flow during long dry spells, is the main attraction in this region. It is lined with lush Borassus palms, giving it the appearance of a desert oasis. In the Borassus palm, take in the sights and sounds of birds.
Along the way, keep an eye out for ostriches, leopards (if you’re lucky), and tortoises. Return to your accommodation for lunch, and then spend the afternoon relaxing there (probably enjoying the sounds and sight of the area).
